Gallbladder Stones

Gallbladder stones are a serious affliction, affecting 15% of the population with women being the most common sufferers. Gallbladder removal is often the only option a doctor will consider. All-natural methods of dislodging these painful stones do exist.

15% of the population has gallstones. They are created in the gallbladder in certain people and can lead to gallbladder attacks. The gallbladder is a small organ located in the vicinity of the stomach just below the liver. Its purpose is simple, collect and store bile created by the liver. Much like insulin is used to process sugar; bile is used to process fats. The gallbladder simply stores this bile and when you eat a fatty meal, this bile is released into the digestive tract.

Bile is composed of cholesterol, bile salts & pigments. When any of these ingredients are out of balance, gallbladder stones can be created. They start off as microscopic specks and if not expelled by the gallbladder can continue to grow until they are, at times, as big as a golf ball with most being the size of a kernel of corn. Once they reach this corn kernel size, they cannot fit thru the miniscule ducts leading out of the gallbladder and build up until they block the ducts, then a gallbladder attack can occur.

Often, the best course of action for a gallbladder attack is to remove the gallbladder. With no gallbladder, the bile from the liver goes right into the bloodstream. This can cause problems like diarrhea in 10% of people.

Another course of action is to attempt to flush these gallstones before they get too big to be naturally expelled.  Drinking a small glass of olive oil can trigger a rapid flush of the gallbladder which can expel some or all of the stones. Certain medicines can dissolve gallbladder stones, although it can take a few years for the stones to get small enough to pass naturally.

Gallbladder stones occur more frequently in women, in overweight and sedentary people as well as diabetics. Rapid weight loss has been shown to induce gallbladder formation in 30-40% of people.

Gallbladder stones symptoms vary from nothing at all to excruciating pain. Gallbladder stones treatments include natural methods and surgical methods. Can your body actually naturally pass gallbladder stones? I get this question a lot in my e-mail inbox? It seems like most sufferers are extremely skeptical of eliminating gallbladder stones the natural way. It is possible and at times preferable to pass stones naturally as opposed to completely dissecting your gallbladder from your body and discarding it like so much trash.

Gallbladder stones are a treatable disorder of one’s gallbladder and can be treated with all-natural methods.
